  Swingfestie - we had heard of this and again did not want to publish anything as it is an “e” book… they do not rate that highly - and 18 months? Hmmmm

  We will see, it will be interesting to read for very newbies though ; )

  Hi Paula,

  All comments are just my opinion, and you’ll note there is not a link to any affiliate marketing so not out to make a buck out of it. I give credit where credit is due. I’ve heard so many people say they are going to write something about Swinging, and then never get around too it (yours truly included) Kudos to ‘Chantelle’ (a psuedonym for sure) for actually producing something of value.

  Getting it published to print will obviously be a struggle at this economic juncture, but I am sure if people read the contents, they will be able to make their own informed decision to purchase.

  The 18 months thing is not a huge thing to believe. We know people in the scene who have been around a lot less and amassed enough knowledge to be armed with what is in the book. ‘Chantelle’ according to her biography is a life coach, and a writer, so I don’t think its a huge step to do what she has done.

  Perhaps if Chantelle is net savvy, she will note the traffic from here and the Swingfest site (where I have also linked to her book) and perhaps make a comment ? Have you read her blog ? It kind of reminds me of yours in your early days of the site.

  Hi evveryone,

  We have been writing a book for over the last few years, we made a decision not to publish it untill we felt we had enoyed the ups & downs (pardon the pun) of the lifestyle for a number of years.
  What we discovered was that the was much more to include in lessons learn’t along the changes in the scene & ourselves & our family as we grew up both in & out of the lifestyle.
  This will be our sixth year in the lifestyle together that we enjoy so much. We do fly under the radar a bit & generally don’t include ourselves in forums & threads for our own reasons.
  We have seen the site & read the extracts & liked the general overview of what Chantelle has published.
  It is refreshing to see a lady that has the confidence to put herself out there not matter what her motivations are.
  However we aggree that 18 months is generally speaking a short time to discover it all & experience it all & more importantly how it blends in a long term relationship over years together in the lifestyle.
  A intersting thing is we startedour book about 18 months into it & we are still adding to it as we type
  We had a tiny set back a short time ago as we lost both the original & back up copies, but found a proof copy we sent out to a friend…. phew
  Anyway it if a good gide to newbies & reccomend Chantelles e book for those wishing to get started

  I thought I’d add a comment since the book, or the idea of it, has stirred things up a little…

  While we have only officially been swinging for just over 18 months, we have had multiple experiences spanning our 8 year relationship starting in the first few weeks of being together so it’s not a new thing as such, it’s just been 18 months since we decided to get into it using a website and started calling ourselves swingers. That said, we still have much to experience, just like most others in the lifestyle.

  I wrote the book while it was all fresh experience, I actually started it a year ago. It was always intended for people who haven’t even considered it as an option and for those who were new to it so for those of you who have been in it for eons longer than us, you probably won’t get as much out of it. It is based on my experience, observations and my viewpoint, it was never intended to be the bible )

  It’s currently in eBook format while I gather feedback to make sure it has as much in it for the newbie as they could possibly need before I get it in print.

  My only question Paula is why it being in eBook format means that it’s not “highly rated”? Highly rated in what way? If you are referring to the value of the content in it then I’d would beg to differ, I’ve purchased many eBooks that had life changing information in them so I seem them as valuable as any book you find in print. I may also be misreading your comments… just a little disappointed that you might be judging a book by it’s cover, or by the lack of a physical one..

  I made the decision to put out there now because a great mentor once said to me that if I waited till it was finished that it would never happen; it will never be “perfect enough”. So it’s out, even though I may not be as experienced as I should be in some peoples eyes.

  Our experiences will continue to grow and our relationship will continue to evolve as it has done rapidly. I can always create an advanced version for long term swingers as we get there ourselves… although the amount of time doesn’t always equate to the amount of experience… We do still have plenty to experience though )

  Anyway, I write because I’m inspired, I enjoy helping others and broadening the way people think and view the world if I can. I know not everyone will need what I have to offer or will be inspired by something I write and that’s fine, I’m just being me and some will resonate and some won’t, that’s life. I just hope others won’t prejudge me or my book before taking the time to get know us )
