  The club so I had the bright idea of going to a singles venue - I managed to find one that was on in Parramatta RSL (classy eh) and after some conversation we decided to go as singles!On the way we decided if It was really crappy we would drop in at the lotus so we called Naomi to let her know. Naomi had a Friend over and was half cut, luke asked me to ask her if she wanted to Come with us and her partner said yes, she will be ready in Half hour.. Luke dropped me off first and I went into the place, parted with 15 bucks and went into a hall / function room and sat down. There were a few people there and it began to fill quickly with lots of men and a splattering of women. Funny enough most seemed to be couples holding hands!I bought a drink for myself and the barmaid said that most blokes would be too scared to come over and talk to me as I was not the usual type who came in!!! Uh oh... didn't make me feel too great at all.I went outside for a smoke and got chatting to 3 blokes about soccer - they were all married and their wives did not know they planned to go upstairs to the singles place - I simply told them I thought that was dishonest and explained that My Husband had dropped me off and was coming back with his 2 girlfriends! Now didnt their jaws drop at that one! Luke had two girls on his arm and went off dancing with Naomi - it was all great if You took away where we were and with a room full of singles who knew not how to have fun!I went back upstairs and asked why there was so many couples and they told me that they allowed it as the people met at the place - weird, but each to his own. No sooner had I sat down and the men started to circle but not one said hello... to be honest when I said hello to the single men there they simply didn't have the social skills to converse on the most basic level at all and I came away thinking I now knew why they were single!Before too long I met luke, naomi and friend at the bar. We kept up the pretence of not knowing each other and chatted for a while, I was trying to escape an Indian man who was being very persistant and decidedly interested (one sided I can assure you!) he also needed to not eat garlic on a day that you go out!!! I hung out with Luke and co for a while and went out for another ciggie and got chatting to this woman and the 3 blokes again. She was quite interesting and I took her number... One of the guys was 6 foot 5 and huge, all muscle (smelt a bit funny though - had a boyfriend who took steroids and I recognized the smell) he asked to meet my hUsband - I really don't think they believed the type of relationship we have so they followed me upstairs where I introduced Luke... the bloke took hold of Lukes hand and started pumping it (bear in mind he was also pissed) and then he kissed luke on the cheek and called him BUBBA! Hmmm he would not kind of let go and the minute he did luke and I had seen enough so we decided to leave! We went down do the girls could finish their drinks and we Left. What a crap plave with uninteresting narrow minded people with no sense of etiquette or politeness. Nothing. You can see why some people are single - add to that the average age was 50+ - we will not be going back!We all decided to go to ARQ a gay club where you can dance your cares away - by the time we got there they queue was so long and about 5 deep we said No, lets call it a night... Girls being girls, Naomi and I needed a wee so we stopped in at lotus lounge - I ran in had a wee then wanted a sneaky peak upstairs - lots of action there I can tell you ; ) Naomi's friend told us all night that her boyfriend (works away) is allowed to do what he wants (she doesn't like it) and she is allowed to do nothing! She wouldn't come into the club as he would not "like it" so she sat in the car with Luke. As we came out of the dooor we met them just about to go in, seems she changed her mind! But we were ready to go so she missed her chance lmao! Alll in all it was great to take Naomi out but I would seriously consider everything if we ever went to another singles thing again - In this instance I might try it again but somewhere closer to Home, after all they cannot all be like that can they.Can they? Yesterday I had Coffee with a friend, we had luch at the pub with her partner and Luke went fo a ride to Bicentenial park with TT - halfway through he met with others at a swingers picnic _ Kids were invited and we did talk about going. Luke text me and told me he was there and he was all ok and not to worry about coming, he was fine and dandy being the "single" male at the event LolNext time hopefully we can both make it but he had a Ball by himself so maybe I will miss the next one too lolThe difference between him going as a single to the picnic and being at a singles even was enormous - you see, swingers take care of themselves, they can converse with all types of people, they don't feel they have to get pissed to have fun, they share and invite people into their converstaions, they share everything they do... oh the differences are amazing!!!    |
